Adopt A Word.

Everyone has a favourite word. Yes, you do. A word which you like using all of the time, either because you like saying it, spelling it, writing it, and often because you can't stop yourself (though it's true some of these words are more colourful than others). Everyone likes giving to charity. Yes, you do. It makes you feel good, makes you feel like you're giving something back to the world.

Adopt A Word cleverly manages to combine the two. For fun or as a gift, you can 'adopt' your favourite word for £20 a year (for which you'll recieve an adoption pack), with the proceeds benefiting I CAN, a charity set up to help children with communication difficulties by providing training to teachers and supporting parents. In others to introduce kids to language so that they can have a favourite word too.

I've checked and there are plenty of words available in our field, including tropical and medicine and most of the diseases in case you want to commemorate the field you're working in.
