An introduction. I've been reading/viewing Alan Taylor's Big Picture blog since launch and it's incredible.

The page simply offers range of amazing photographs gathered around different subjects, but unlike some photo sharing sites, they're properly selected from news agencies and curated for their beauty and thematic resonances.

With today's humid weather in Liverpool, these images of people hitting the water might help to cool you down.
