If you think your borrowing habits at the library (or if you're like me, any library) border on the obsessive, you'll have to go some to beat ninety-one year old Louise Brown of Stranraer who is close to making her 25,000th loan from the local Castle Douglas library where she first became a member in 1946.
As BBC News & The Guardian report, Louise has been reading up to twelve books a week, mostly "Mills & Boon romances, war stories and historical dramas" and has never paid a late fee. There can't be many of us who could beat that record!
